A fun toothbrush and toothpaste will make brushing more attractive. You can also buy a spare toothbrush and let your child practice brushing the teeth of an action figure or stuffed animal.

You might try brushing your teeth along with your child. Not only does this set a good example, but will also give you the chance to make sure that he is brushing correctly. Since it takes two minutes to do a good job of brushing your teeth, find ways to make a game out of brushing your teeth for the right amount of time. Find a song you can sing together when it is time to brush, and of course, praise and encouragement when your child does a good job of brushing will work wonders.
